Oak steakhouse overview
There are many great places to eat in Nashville, but it’s easy to always fall back to your favorites instead of trying something new. Usually, when I‘m craving a good steak, I dine at Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Lately, I’ve been hearing good things about Oak Steakhouse, so I decided to give it a try. I’m definitely glad that I tried something new.
First, the atmosphere is great. The vibe is upscale and trendy. It was a perfect transition to step out of the Porsche 911 and walk into this establishment. From the bar to the open kitchen, everything was clean and luxurious. Most importantly, the staff was courteous and professional. Our waitress was very attentive, and the manager came over to see how things were going. They even gave my daughter a plate of frites to hold her over until the steak was ready. She loved them of course!
Now, it was the moment of truth. Everything had met our expectations, but now it was time to eat. Our meal of choice was a 12oz dry-aged prime NY strip steak with king crab legs, Aligot (I guess this word means fancy mashed) potatoes, and white cheddar mac and cheese. Obviously, I should have stayed on the part of the menu with prices, but my eyes kept looking at the specialty steaks with the “MP” designation.
Well, the food met our expectations. My daughter gave everything from the fresh rolls to the steak, a perfect 10 out of 10. Also, the portions were good for us. We shared the meal, and we’re looking forward to finishing up for dinner tomorrow! Overall, I would definitely recommend giving this establishment a try, and we will definitely be going back soon.
